I was born and raised in Macon, Georgia. I played sports and music throughout high school and worked in construction from as young as I can remember. After high school, I attended Ole Miss and graduated with a business degree. I also met my beautiful wife, Melissa, there. We have 3 children. We moved to the Northshore in 2008 and immediately fell in love with the people and culture. I co-own Eagle AC and Heating with my brother, Alex. I love to hunt and fish and watch my children play sports and music. I am a member of The Field Church in Mandeville, where I serve in a variety of capacities.
Q: Please tell us a little bit about your family.
I have been married to Melissa for 16 years. We have 3 beautiful children. John, Katherine, and Nora Hope.
Q: Please tell us about your current, past, or future career. What do you love most about what you do?
I have been in the air conditioning industry for over 18 years and never want to do anything else. I have been blessed to work in many areas of this field including the wholesale, commercial, and residential service and installation. My favorite thing about my job is all the people I get to meet and places I am able to see.
Q: What are a couple of your favorite restaurants in our community?
I love Gallaghers 527, Pardos, Mandeville Seafood, and Rusty Pelican
Q: How long have you lived or worked in our community?
15 Years
Q: Who is the most interesting person you’ve met here in our community?
With my job, I meet so many people, it’s hard to name just one. I have been surprised at how many inventors of various products we have in our area.
Q: What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?
The Godfather. The Office.
Q: What advice would you give to people?
Word hard and pray fervently.
Q: What current or former local business makes you the most nostalgic about our community?
Any of the businesses in Old Mandeville or Downtown Covington. I love parking and being able to walk around and shop and eat.
Q: If you could choose anyone that is alive today and not a relative; with whom would you love to have lunch? Why? And where locally would y’all meet for this lunch?
I would love to have lunch with Louie Armstrong. I love his music and that era. His favorite food was red beans and rice so we would have a few restaurants to choose from, but would probably end up at Ponchartrain Po-Boys.
Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique about our community?
I love that we are so close to the water. As a child, I used to dream about living this close to the water. What could be better than watching your son play baseball at Harbor Field while the sailboats are shadows in the sunset.
Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?
The same as today. Ha! Hang out with the family. Work. Pelican Park. Church. Repeat.
Q: (Even for friends or family), what is something interesting that most people don’t know about you?
I could be a professional Wallyball player.

New Orleans cuisine.
Q: Who inspires you to be better?
My family.
Q: Finally, what 3 words or phrases come to mind when you think of the word HOME?
Joy, love, and beautiful chaos. 3 kids…if you know, you know
