I grew up in River Ridge Louisiana and was raised by my grandparents. I moved to the Northshore in 1999 and I have made it my forever home. I got married here. Raised my children and now grandchildren here. I have opened several insurance agencies over the years in St. Tammany and now in Tangipahoa. I have served on many boards during my time for example; The St Tammany Chamber, Active Partnership and Stark. I am actively involved in the Krewe of EVE as a float lieutenant and have my own float. I love giving back to the community that opened its arms to me way back when.
Q: Please tell us a little bit about your family.
I am happlied remarried for the last 16 years. We have a blended family of 2 girls and 3 boys and have 8 grandchildren. We also have a dog named Roux. We all live in St Tammany except one.
Q: Please tell us about your current, past, or future career. What do you love most about what you do?
I am an independent insurance agent and love that I can help my community by educating them on how, why, and what coverages they need. Most people do not understand what we do or the importance of having an agent to call if they do not understand the policy. My past career I was the VP of operations of a healthcare management company. My goal was to educate my hospitals on how to get and retain staff at the best possible cost. My future, well I hope it remains with my current company Penzato Insurance Agency and one day hand it over to my daughter who has been working with me in the agency for years. I love being able to live and work in the community we love so much and to make sure we educate them for the future.
