I am a mom of 3, I love Jazz Fest, Mardi Gras, pilates, dining out, dancing to live music, singing at the top of my lungs at Phish shows and working in very fine detail. I am an organized artist, with a background in sales, I love travel and trying new things, meeting interesting people, seeing interesting things. I see colorful inspiration in every piece of life around me.

I compare creating my art to improvisational music or a live sporting event. I know what I’m stepping into when I arrive, there’s a set order of events, however, the outcome is unknown. There is anticipation and excitement in everything piece I create. This art has taught me to embrace what I cannot control within my craft and in parts of life. I love having a creative outlet and take such pride in knowing that my artistic expression and entrepreneurship serves as an example for my young children. Follow your passion and create your own dream! I am truly grateful for the support that my husband, family and friends provide and love being able to call them clients as well.

Q: Please tell us about your current, past, or future career. What do you love most about what you do?
In 2003, began my sales career working in the New Orleans hospitality industry. I started Ludasigns, my tie dye brand, which has evolved along side my growing family since 2015. Amidst the challenges of the pandemic, I embarked on a journey to establish a self-sustaining business. No longer relying on external resources, Ludasigns now directly sources garments from a family-operated sewing business in Central Java, Indonesia. Every expense incurred by Ludasigns for these items directly supports the skilled artisans behind the sewing machine. This family-centric approach extends beyond providing quality apparel—it’s a commitment to empowerment. By hiring and teaching sewing skills to women within their communities, this small business becomes a catalyst for both personal growth and self-sufficiency.
