‘Tis the season to be jolly, and Santa is here to share a bit about the magic of the holidays and the joy it brings to the world!
Q: Please tell us a little bit about your family.
Well, you see, I have a big, bustling family up here at the North Pole – elves, reindeer, and Mrs. Claus, who keeps everything running smoothly. We’re a close-knit bunch, and our favorite time of year is, of course, Christmas!
Q: Please tell us about your current, past, or future career. What do you love most about what you do?
My career? Why, bringing joy and happiness to children all around the world, of course! I love seeing the smiles on their faces when they find presents under the tree. It warms my heart.
Q: What are a couple of your favorite restaurants in our community?
I do enjoy cookies and milk left out for me on Christmas Eve but my FAVORITE is a roast beef po-boy from Dave and Jerry’s Sandwich Shop in Old Mandeville. It’s a worldwide culinary delight!
Q: How long have you lived or worked in our community?
I’ve been working globally for centuries, spreading joy to all corners of the Earth. But my heart is always at the North Pole.
Q: Who is the most interesting person you’ve met here in our community?
Every child I meet is unique and special in their own way. That’s what makes my job so magical!
Q: What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?
I do enjoy classic Christmas movies, especially those that tell heartwarming tales of love and kindness. As for TV shows, I occasionally tune in to see who’s being naughty or nice!
Q: What advice would you give to people?
Spread love, kindness, and joy. Be good to one another, and remember, the true spirit of Christmas is in your heart.
Q: What current or former local business makes you the most nostalgic about our community?
Memories of Playville bring a twinkle to my eye! It was always a lifesaver when the elves were behind on their to-do lists.
Q: If you could choose anyone that is alive today and not a relative; with whom would you love to have lunch? Why? And where locally would y’all meet for this lunch?
I’d love to have lunch with Mandeville Mayor Clay Madden. As for the location, a cozy spot like Dave and Jerry’s would be perfect!
Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique about our community?
The warmth and generosity of the people of the Northshore – it’s what makes every community special during the holidays.
Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?
Right here at the North Pole, preparing for another magical Christmas. My mission is timeless!
Q: (Even for friends or family), what is something interesting that most people don’t know about you?
Well, not many know that I’m an excellent snowball thrower! Keeps the elves on their toes during our breaks.
Q: What would you rate a 10 out of 10?
The joy and laughter of children on Christmas morning – that’s a perfect 10!
Q: Who inspires you to be better?
The spirit of giving and the kindness I see in people all around the world inspire me to keep spreading joy and happiness.

Love, warmth, and togetherness – the true essence of a home, especially during the holidays.
