I’m Stephanie. Wife, Mother, Business Owner, Author, Podcaster, Breast CANcer Survivor ????️, and a woman with multiple degrees and years of professional success. It is interesting how we even label ourselves. People often label us by our accomplishments, careers, or where we live. I believe no labels = no limits. I am not defined by the multiple degrees I hold, the success of my career, where I live, or even what I’ve been through—but by who I am ????.
Who I am is someone passionate about encouraging others to commit to self-care ????. You see, while I’m speaking to you, I’m also speaking to myself. I did well with mindset, exercise and nutrition, but chronic stress was always there, and I had to learn the hard way. Our bodies give us signals—through signs, messages, and feelings—and we need to listen ????♀️. Feel them, act on them, and care for yourself before you get that BIG, DIRECT message that forces you to stop. Self-care isn’t a luxury; it’s essential ????. Take that deep breath, give yourself the grace you give others, keep your health appointments ????, enjoy your favorite music ????, and when you think a hug is over, hold on a little longer ????.
I do better because I know better ????. And now you know too. So, what will you do about it? ????????️
So let’s start over:
I AM LOVE ❤️
I AM HEALTH ????
I AM AWARE ????
I AM ALWAYS EVOLVING ????
I AM…”
Q: Please tell us a little bit about your family.
I’m blessed to have a loving and supportive family. My husband, Matt, and I have been together for 29 years, and we have two wonderful children, Madeline and Blake. Our family is filled with love, laughter, and a deep sense of togetherness. Our fur baby, Remi Grace, has brought so much joy and comfort into our lives, especially during challenging times. Family is incredibly important to me, and they’ve been my rock through everything. My sister, Tiffany, has been an incredible support as well, allowing me to focus on healing by ensuring that our lending clients are well taken care of. Helping families find their homes is a huge part of our sense of community.
Q: Please tell us about your current, past, or future career. What do you love most about what you do?
The Weeks Team has and continues to help thousands in the community with their home financing needs. What we love most about what we do is the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives by helping them achieve the dream of homeownership. Whether it’s assisting a first-time buyer or helping someone refinance for a better future, being part of such pivotal moments is incredibly rewarding. We also value the personal connections we build with our clients and the positive impact we have on the community over time. Give us as Ring at 985-273-5747 if we can help.
Q: What are a couple of your favorite restaurants in our community?
There’s one restaurant that holds both the number 1 and number 2 spots in my heart—Pardo’s. The food is always fresh, healthy, vibrant, and so full of flavor. Every meal feels like a celebration of good ingredients and great company. I remember when Osman first opened Pardo’s. He called and asked me to share it with my office, which was located just down the street at the time. He invited us to try it for lunch, and we certainly did—and we’ve been hooked ever since. That was 10 years ago! The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the care they put into every dish is something that keeps me coming back again and again. If you go, be sure to ask for Briana—she always makes the experience even more special!
Q: How long have you lived or worked in our community?
I’ve been part of this community since I was 11 years old—so that’s 35 years! Time sure does fly by. We moved to Slidell when I was in 6th grade, and I graduated from Slidell High in 1996. My husband, Matt, graduated from Mandeville High in 1994. Over the years, we’ve lived in several wonderful parts of the area, including Slidell, Mandeville, Madisonville, and Folsom. This community has been such a huge part of my life, and I’m grateful for all the memories and connections we’ve built here. It’s been amazing to watch the community grow and evolve while still maintaining its charm.
Q: What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?
The Other Woman. It makes me laugh so much every time I watch it. Laughter is GREAT Medicine.
Q: What advice would you give to people?
Dare to allow your DREAMS to be bigger than your Fears.????
Q: What current or former local business makes you the most nostalgic about our community?
The Bra Genie – I remember being one of The Bra Genie’s clients back when her business operated from a single room in her home. It’s incredible to see how far she has come and the impact she now has on so many women’s lives. She’s made something as often overlooked as a properly fitting bra into a powerful tool of confidence and comfort, showing just how important this is for women’s well-being.
Q: If you could choose anyone that is alive today and not a relative; with whom would you love to have lunch? Why? And where locally would y’all meet for this lunch?
It would definitely be at Pardos. – I would love to have lunch with the oldest resident in the community! I am hoping she is over 100!. There is so much I could learn.
Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique about our community?
It feels like a big small town, where everyone knows each other, and there’s always a friendly face to greet you. We have the best restaurants and so many caring community members who genuinely support one another. There are so many memories tied to this place—like watching my daughter and her friends grow up, spending time at different spots around town, and seeing the buildings my husband Matt constructed around the community, which adds such a personal connection to our surroundings. It’s hard to pick just one favorite thing because this place is filled with so much heart and history for me.
Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?
I hold the vision of being 105 years old, running a marathon wearing a red tutu! My hope is that along the way to those 105 years, I leave glimmers of sparkle, hope, and inspiration for others, especially those facing life’s challenges. I also envision my family by my side, filled with love, laughter, and new adventures, as we continue to grow together. And the incredible part is, I’m not even at the halfway point of my life yet—it’s already been an amazing journey filled with gifts, and I truly believe the best is yet to come.
Q: (Even for friends or family), what is something interesting that most people don’t know about you?
One thing most people, even friends and family, don’t know about me is that I created a nonprofit 501c3, The Beauty in CANcer™, which focuses on supporting Breast CANcer Survivors with a message of healing and thriving beyond the diagnosis. The nonprofit helps by paying for treatments insurance may not cover, like vitamin drips, acupuncture, supplements, wheatgrass, juicing, and other holistic therapies that have been instrumental in my healing journey. With no salaries and minimal overhead, funds go directly to helping survivors. If you’d like to support this cause, feel free to reach out or scan the QR code????. What’s even less known is that I also created an Instagram page called Beyond The Diagnosis @_BeyondTheDiagnosis, which is for anyone affected by Breast CANcer. The page has been thriving and reaching women worldwide. These two projects have been deeply meaningful to me, though most people in my personal and professional life don’t know much about them. I want Breast CANcer Survivors to know there IS Life, Beyond The Diagnosis ????. -FELICITY, i would love to include the QR code for donations if there is space
Q: What would you rate a 10 out of 10?
I would rate love, family, and self-care a 10 out of 10. For me, these are the pillars of a fulfilling life. Love, whether it’s for yourself or others, is what makes life meaningful. Family brings support, joy, and strength, grounding us through everything. And self-care—taking the time to nurture your body, mind, and spirit—is essential to maintaining health and well-being. These things together allow us to heal, grow, and truly thrive, no matter what challenges life presents.
Q: Who inspires you to be better?
My husband, Matt Weeks, is my hero, my best friend, and the most amazing person I’ve ever known. For the last 30 years, he has inspired me to be the best version of myself with his unwavering support, love, and strength. His ability to stay positive and lead with love in even the most challenging situations is something I admire deeply.
Q: Finally, what 3 words or phrases come to mind when you think of the word HOME?
The words Safe, Love, and Comfort come to mind when I think of the word ‘HOME.’ To me, ‘HOME’ isn’t just a physical location, house, or address—it’s something you carry in your heart. It’s the love and connections that truly make a home. Love is an essential part of life, whether it’s about living, healing, or thriving. It’s what makes home a place of comfort and safety, no matter where you are.
