Dr. Chip Curtis brings over 20 years of physical medicine experience and natural pain management to his role as Founder of All-American Medical. He is an honors graduate of Life University College of Chiropractic and holds a Fellowship in Stem Cell Therapy.
Dr. Curtis grew up in St. Tammany Parish and returned here to practice close to his family. He and his wife, Tanya, have three beautiful children.
His passion for patient-centered care is fueled by his diverse life experiences, including representing the U.S. Rugby National Team at the 2001 World Cup and 20 years of service as an Army helicopter pilot.
Dr. Curtis retired as a Captain in the Louisiana National Guard, where he logged over 500 combat hours as a helicopter pilot in Iraq and was awarded the Air Medal, multiple Army Commendations and Achievement Medals, the Meritorious Service Medal and Iraq Campaign Medal to name a few.
This time on the playing field and the battlefield has given him unique insights into the challenges people face with injuries and chronic pain.
Dr. Curtis‘ hobbies are working out, cycling, guitar, hunting and coaching Rugby at St. Paul’s.
Q: Please tell us a little bit about your family.
My wife Tanya helps me run the financial part of the business allowing me to focus on the day to day and our patient care. My daughter Abigail is 18 and is graduating with honors from MHS this year. Go Skippers! She has multiple scholarship offers for academics. Alexander is 16 and is a Sophomore at St. Paul’s and just started working with me in the Covington clinic while Christopher is a Freshman and is playing Rugby while I coach.
Q: Please tell us about your current, past, or future career. What do you love most about what you do?
I love helping people. I believe everyone needs a general purpose in life, so why not, “Helping people”? How you do that is up to you. I do it by teaching people how to get healthier, live longer and by fixing their injuries especially with Regenerative Medicine, which is the future of medicine and why I got my Fellow in Stem Cell Therapy. I want to help lead people to a better way of health care and that is through Regenerative Medicine.
Q: What are a couple of your favorite restaurants in our community?
I love Sushi, so which ever one is closest to me.
Q: How long have you lived or worked in our community?
I was born and raised on the Northshore have been practicing here for 24 years.

Q: What advice would you give to people?
The energy that you put out comes back to you, albeit positive or negative. The choice is yours.
Q: What current or former local business makes you the most nostalgic about our community?
Time Saver. I remember when I could ride my bike to the store and buy a comic book for 10 cents.
Q: If you could choose anyone that is alive today and not a relative; with whom would you love to have lunch? Why? And where locally would y’all meet for this lunch?
A past president. Someplace quiet because I want to know the secrets of what our government is doing behind closed doors.
Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique about our community?
I love being on the water and watching sunset.
Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?
Continuing to grow and scale the future of healthcare through my business, enjoying my time off and watching my kids grow and flourish.
Q: (Even for friends or family), what is something interesting that most people don’t know about you?
I flew Saddaam Hussein to his first tribunal when I was in Iraq in 2004.

There are several business leaders I follow. I always look for someone who is successful with where I want to be.

Good food, great friends and a love of the outdoors.
